Adobe Snaps Up Macromedia

Wow. That's big news. Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash have dominated Web programs for several years, while Adobe InDesign is increasingly chipping at QuarkXPress' dominance in print desktop publishing. Adobe will dominate the industry more than ever now. I like software compatibility and integration, but also favor competition. It will be interesting to see how all this pans out in the next few years.

I can't wait for Adobe to kick the crap out of Quark. XPress is a good product, but the company is one of the worst in the business.
