Um, don't bring your own clubs. You'd only get reamed by the airlines. Not as expensive as a surfboard, but sports enthusiasts worldwide are in an uproar about how expensive it's become to fly with the requisite paraphenalia. I think it would be cheaper to buy a seat for your clubs.

Just rent the 1927 versions. It will be a hoot.

Oh, and don't forget Local Hero and Rob Roy for the flights.

I've found some info on a pitch-and-putt billed as the oldest golf course in the world where you can hire a set of clubs. That sounds like a good option. As much as I'd love to spend a day on the links, I can't really justify dedicating the bulk of a vacation day to it when CP doesn't golf. A 6 hole pitch-and-putt is the perfect compromise.

All you really need is a driver, your favorite size iron, and a putter. Why not buy them there as souvenirs?

For the same reason I won't have my set with me. Traveling with golf clubs is a pain in the ass.

I've often thought about doing a gold tournament where you are restricted to one club: which one would you choose?
