What - in your opinion - is the earliest age you'd let your older child attend?

It's been quite awhile - since I was a teenager - that I've been. And even then, I'm not recalling it very vividly. I was on a date - didn't really care for the guy - but I digress.

Anyway - what do ya think? 18? 16? 14?

My sister went when she was 12 i think and she didn't do anything that first year was too scared. It depends on their ages and how well mature they are. I know it took her the second year to even attempt the mine ride and log ride.

I agree with MMG. It just depends on the child in question. The Boy keeps begging me to take him, but I am the one who is not ready to go (again).

My son begged me to take him starting when he was 9. I took him when he was 12. He was so scared he was crying and we left after 3 hours (he stayed in the diner the last hour while me and our friend went into a few more mazes.

To top it off, as he was running for the saftey of the diner, he stopped midway. Freddy spotted him, looked right at him and slowly razed his hand and pointed right at him as if he was next. It was a little ironic that after three years of begging me to take him, it took three hour until he was begging me to take him home.

Frankly, I think most people should wait until they are 15 or 16.

I can't stand seeing people who bring little kids (I'm talking very clearly scared 5/6 year olds) to Haunt type events. Today I had a guest who was taking her 7 year old to Horror Nights tonight- I insisted that it's a VERY scary, gory event - she said he did fine at the "one at that California place", so he can handle this one.

Sure, and she can pay the therapy bills.

Wow Wed night when we did the Tram Tour for the second time Matt was walking ahead of me near the end of the walking part (War of the Worlds set) and this Freddie dressed as a pilot blocked me from continuing to catch up with Matt. He basically raised his "clawed hand" and was playing with the blades just having me stand there while he tortured me putting one blade up to my eye and then to my heart.

The worst i think though impression was Jason's. For some reason they scare me more than anything this year.
