I think it was "Unwrapped" on Food Network explained that Bell used to work for McDonalds and the founder of McD suggested that Bell start a mexican fast food place.

As I understand it.

Edit: Blah - it was Weinershnitzle founded like that. ancake:

Wiki says Bell was "inspired by McDonalds to start the fast food place.

Could be. The Wikipedia page for Taco Bell tells a different version (he'd run several of his own things, experimenting with alternative foods that wouldn't be in direct competition with the already successful McDonald brothers hamburger restaurants).

But Wikipedia isn't exactly reliable and my knowledge is limited to that page and the NYT crossword clue this morning that prompted me to look at it.

The Wikipedia page for Del Taco says that the first Del Taco was in Yermo, followed by three in Barstow, and then the fifth one in Corona, which was the first with a drive-through window. It was with construction of the fifth store that Dick Naugle joined the company (though see previous caveat about Wikipedia sourcing).

So, I'm a recent convert to putting cream in my tea, specifically chai. Well, not cream. Non dairy creamer, or the somehow more disturbing "whitener". My question is this. Anyone have tips for how to efficiently pour that stuff from those Coffee Mate containers. One of these:

and now for the race to the "submit to Quotes" button
It seems I turn it over, two specks of the stuff comes out and then the hole is plugged up. I shake it, smack it, wiggle it, bang the cup against it. Nothing I do seems to increase the flow of the white stuff.

There's got to be some trick. Half of my tea break is spent trying to get enough creamer!

Huh, one of those "facts" I grew up with in Corona. At least we got the drive-thru window.

My dad used to joke that the burgers at Naugles were made from Nauglehyde. Got a laugh, every time.

Tea break? What are you, some kind of elitist?

Sounds to me like moisture has gotten into your coffee-mate. Try unscrewing the lid and using a spoon.

Open container. Insert spoon. We buy the costco sized ones and that does the trick nicely.

It's what the company provides sadly. Sans spoons.
