Yay BTD i know gas is super cheap. I can't recall when prices were under $2 a gallon. It's great. Only wish it would stay this low.

There is a gas war going on between two stations in Pasadena. The last I heard, they were down to $1.85 and $1.86 each.

My side of Bakersfield has gas averaging arounf $1.95. I have seen it as low as $1.87. The center part of town seems to be stuck at $1.99 and the East side at $2.09.

unlikely. at least not until the entire planet embraces something besides gasoline...

I found this amusing.
Our yearly company wide inventory is being performed right now. Everything that's included on the inventory list has a property tag witha # and a barcode. The facilities people (plus some temps) are running around scanning things and slapping little green dot stickers on them to indicate they've been scanned. Yesterday our CFO sent out an email. "Please photocopy the bottom of your laptop where the property tag is located and pin the copy up to your cubical wall so we don't have to flip your laptop over to scan the barcode." ![]()

So, yeah, along this type of thought.... Watching the news, of course, we consumers love the low price. Er, wait, this is the price it was before they said prices went up due to demand? Then, the prices fell, and then they said they were going to stop producing so much so that they could charge more since there wouldn't be a surplus? Okay, but, they say the low prices across the board are bad. I am so f'in sorry. I think, we've been paying way too much for so long that these prices are what, just may be, they ought to be. Yep, I heard they don't like the low price of oil because then it isn't worth it for some companies to drill. And, with the price of gas low, the oil companies {or whomever} now say they don't have the resources to find other types of fuel. So, yeah, screw the working people, middle class and your poor. We have to bail out the big companies, we have to pay $4. for gas to make it profitable for the oil companies. {how much did they make last quarter?} I really feel badly for the people who work within the auto industry, I know at our dealership, they have cut back their number of employees. Well, cars shouldn't ever have cost so much. Nor should have houses. Maybe I'm dumb to feel that way but I do. And, athletes shouldn't make so much money, either. ![]() Anywho, this is what I told my son when we drove past the gas station with a price of $1.959. I mean, we are so happy that it is this price but damnit, the reason why it went so high....why was that again? They are messing with us. The sad thing is now, the price is low but so many people are out of work or may be even have gotten rid of their cars, there aren't ever any long lines at any gas station I pass. Ever.

Actually, there are more cars on the roads right now with the gas price lower - less people using mass transit again.
