It will change perceptions among reasonable, thinking people. It will help reduce the propagandist ammunition that's used to turn reasonable, thinking people into terrorists going forward. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done for anyone who's already irrational and capable of senseless killings for ideological reasons.
