My present (200Gb) is a Maxtor and has not had one incident of trouble.

I'm all for downsizing the size (not the capacity) or all the peripheral thingies attached or used with the computer. The only thing I do wish I had was a scanner bed capable of scanning 11x14 size photos. Those do not seem to exist.

I've had one of these for years -- wonderful scanner!

I should have added or qualified, "in my price range" 2500+ semolians is a little beyond my means right now!

Well, obviously I needed to buy a new external hard drive. Any surprise I picked the Freeagent Go in red? Um, nope.
