We had the Portlandest Mother's Day possible!! (Okay, NO we didn't to a labor rally, or protest outside a restaurant that serves fois gras.....)

We had brunch at Jake's www.jakesgrill.com (mmmm....their seafood buffet is to die for!!) inside the Governor Hotel, then walked to Powell's Books www.powellsbooks.com , went shopping in the Pearl District and at Buffalo Exchange www.buffaloexchange.com , watched The Princess Bride at a McMenamins, while sipping beers.

Heehee, I got Chuck Palahniuk's newest book, Haunted.....what every good mommy wants!! I'm going to a reading by him next week......can't wait!!!

Kelly finally gave me my official present....our Broadway Series subscription, so we have six shows to go to starting with The Lion King in September. I'm a spoiled mommy!! Broadway and Palahniuk!!!

Jack: Tastes pretty good to me.

I love Powells!!! I went there mainly to see the rare books section, and it was closed. I talked a clerk into opening it for me, and got a close up tour of all it's treasures. (Like a first edition Dafoe). I felt I should buy something, so I picked up an autographed copy of 'Son of Oscar Wilde', by Vivyan Holland.
