Whew!!! I'm glad she was safe!
This has nothing to do with the problem you have but you really might want to consider putting both rats in one cage. Rats are very social and love to be with buddies. They almost always accept newcomers and generally don't need their own "territory" (my 4 boys sleep heaped in one big pile in their hammock). And since you have 2 girls, no worries about baby ratties. ![]()
