Public Transportation to the Rose Bowl?

I know the Metro Gold Line is advertising heavily about their Rose Parade and Rose Bowl coverage.

Why drive? Get to the game on Metro Rail.

Avoid long walks and the high cost of parking at the Rose Bowl. Take the Metro Gold Line to the Memorial Park station in Pasadena; then take a short walk to the Parsons parking lot and ride a shuttle in comfort past the traffc, right up to the gate. Shuttle service between Parsons and the Rose Bowl will begin at 10am on January 1. Parking is available at Union Station for $6. Check metro.net for the locations of additional park/ride lots near other Metro Rail stations. Or you can find your best connection to the Gold Line using the Trip Planner at metro.net.

Please remember that food, drinks, smoking and flammable products are not permitted on Metro Rail. Due to the large crowds expected to come out for the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game, oversize items such as umbrellas, chairs and coolers will not be permitted on the trains that day.

I can't find current info, but historically the other lines run on a Sunday schedule (I am sure you know you would need to take the Blue Line to get to Union Station to pick up the Gold Line).
