NYE I drank a couple of glasses of champagne at midnight and after, then went to bed. I woke up before 8am, chipper and alert - very unusual for me. No champagne last night, and this morning I'm my usual half-asleep grouch.

Maybe I need to resolve to start drinking champagne every night before bed.....
