From what I heard, they added him. They figured it was a bureaucratic mix-up, that they should have been told about him. He said he was a transfer from another precinct, and apparently nobody called to check on it.

One of the reporters talking about it said it was amazing he fooled all the officers. Talking to officers, they generally know who is one of them, and who is not. Except here.

A previously unknown species of climbing catfish has been discovered in remote Venezuela, and its strange traits are shaking the evolutionary tree for these fish.

The newfound catfish, Lithogenes wahari, shares traits with two different families of fish — Loricariidae (armored catfishes) and Astroblepidae (climbing catfishes). It has bony armor that protects its head and tail, and a grasping pelvic fin that helps it to climb vertical surfaces such as rocks.

Octuplets stun doctors at California hospital

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A California woman shocked doctors by giving birth on Monday to octuplets, believed to be only the second set of eight babies born in the United States.

Prosecutor Jonathan Rees told the court: "The video demonstrates the boy placing a cigarette into his mouth, lighting it with a lighter and sucking, drawing smoke clearly into the lungs and he seems to do it with some accomplishment.

"It doesn't cause him any discomfort. He is sat on a chair close to the mother, who is talking on the phone.

"It is clear that the boy, at the age of three, knows what to do with a lighter and cigarette," Rees said.

Pocock is reported to have pleaded guilty on the basis that she hadn't seen her son smoking on that occasion, or ever before, PA reported.

OK, so it was revealed today that the mother of the octuplets already had 6 children - two of those are twins. She's 33 year old.

Who the HELL decided she needed fertility treatment? (I could really go on a rant right now, but I'll refrain.)
