Glad everyone is okay, been offline and out of the loop. Long rolling quakes are not fun. We're overdue for a good jolt up here, too.

It's a bit weird how we've had such a cluster of them the last few months. I suppose that's a good thing, relieve a little pressure rather than building up. But there have been quite a few, haven't there?

There have been more than there have been in a while, but it's far from "weird". We live on top of several of the most active faults in the world, this is entirely within the realm of "expected".

It's a myth that small quakes prevent large ones.

We were at DCA on Monsters Inc when it "happend." Didn't feel anything but we walked onto Hollywood Blvd and it was filled with people. We learned they evacuated all the rides.

The stores were open though.

Well, you did have a fore-shock: 3.1 magnitude, 5 mi WNW of Kalaoa, HI, about an hour-and-a-half before ours.

Out in the Valley, the extreme West side of our eating-place felt it, but the East did not.

I felt a rumbling in my feet...sustained -- and it was a weird insistent vibration...and I looked around but only a guy sitting near me also noticed. We caught each other's eyes and knew. Everyone else teased us.

My hubby, about a foot and 1/2 away felt nothing. Me and the other guy who felt it were convinced it was a quake, but all the other patrons said "truck."

Oh, I was barefoot, but the other guy was not. I'm going to go barefoot more often.

I like having my flesh pressed against my planet.
