I was not sure where to put this, not really swanky news. Crabtree & Evelyn filed Chapter 11 today. We have store downstairs. I popped in and was told the C&E stores are closing July 26th and the clearance sales begin tomorrow.

Just sayin if you like their products.

I am assuming you may still be able to get products online as the bankruptcy is not affecting the UK end of things (corporate based in the Virgin Islands, btw)

The C&E went out of my local mall a long time ago.

Ugh, nowadays the whole place looks like a mall from Beruit, except it's a high-class, very pretty outdoor mall in Century City catering to some of the most economically advantaged people in Los Angeles. Yet a good 20% of the stores have gone empty and unleased.

Yep, people be not buying.

I guess I'll have to find another store to hold my breath in while I buy a delightful tin of orange biscuits.

I know how much it sucks when a store you love closes. I'm sorry that this will be closing. Maybe it will be available online still?
