I just read your post...how old are you? People think you are too old to have a family? Jeez I was 36 when Wolfette was born.

The social part of being new parents can be the scary part...all of a sudden , how long do you nurse, do you nurse or bottle feed...cloth diapers or disposable, play dates, preschools, public school, private school, home school...everyone is going to have an opinion and feel the need to 'share' take it all with a big grain of salt, do what ever it is that feels right for your family and nod at the older grammy types (or Great Aunts or Uncles) You said it in your first post, life is about to change...not necessarily a bad thing just a new beginning as not only a couple but as parents responsible for raising a good person from scratch. I can't think of two people who I'd be more confident in their abilities to do that.

I'm 32. I'm thinking of a coworker who had her kids in her early to mid 20's and actually said to me after I told her, "I never would have thought you would want to have kids." She's one of those way-too-honest grandmas.
