Big hit in 1923! BIG Paramount production, used loads of original Conestogas (if you believe 1923 hype).

I've not seen it in years. Whaddaya researching it for? Anything I can do to help?

Well. Tom and I are writing a book about the time he lived with a Shoshone doctor ("medicine man"/"shaman"), as in he drove the guy around the rez and generally made himself useful. Once, they visited with an Arapaho who was in "The Covered Wagon", via Tim McCoy so we're incorporating Tom's old notes on that. The war raid party in that film is Arapaho from Wind River.

The same Arapaho also accompanied McCoy to London to put on a Wild West show. (Pre-stardom, McCoy worked as a hand on the Em-Bar Ranch in the area of Wyoming we're writing about. He had gotten to know a lot of Arapahos during that time.)

I'll let everyone know when this book comes out.
