I really desperately need a Dyson for our unit. The carpet now makes crunching noises by itself.

Oh! My! Ick-ity ick, that sounds almost as bad as my carpet. I have a Kirby G6 that needs service I can't afford right now. It's about 10 years old. My carpet is looped Berber, about 7 years old. It's gross, I wish I could rip it out.
