Heck, to make it, just grab a good solid branch, then drill some holes and attach some silk greenery with hot glue.

Then, buy some thick wooden photo frames, remove the glass, and add upholstery fabric or berber carpet pieces.

Attach the frames to the branch, using screws and some small wooden pieces for support.

Voila! "Realistic" cat tree for a fraction of the price.

Or just introduce the cats to the couch. It's what ends up happening in our house at least.
