Yup, I would agree he lost it with his jury speech (or in the stuff we were never shown)

Still, Natalie? I think the mouse she smacked played a better game.

That $10,000 offer from Russel was weird. For ten grand you could paint me purple and have me say "I want Russel's love child" on National TV. How could you turn that down? TV people are weird.

Oh well, time to move on....

Here is the cast list for season 20:

Spoiler:

Russel should have the advantage that no one knows his game. I wonder how well he knows past players.

It should be an interesting season if the Hero's don't decimate the villains in every challenge.

Well, she did JUST become $1,000,000 richer. In the face of that $10,000 (or even the $100,000 he later upped the offer to) isn't quite as tempting I'd imagine.

I don't really think he lost it in his final speech. I thought he played that as best as he could, really. "Out of the 3 of us, I did the most to ensure that you guys are sitting over there and I'm sitting over here." I think he lost it well before that with his overall attitude. I'm guessing that there was a lot more animosity towards him than was ever shown, just to keep things suspenseful so we didn't realize just how much people disliked him.

If anything in the last episode cost him, it was the lip service he paid to Brett about wanting to go up against the best player before voting him out. That was unnecessary and utterly transparent.

Or if any of the heroes who lost previously decide they've learned their lessons and drop the hero game. Definite potential for topping the all-time most petty meltdowns (Lex, and then Ethan).

I know a lot of charities that might feel different about it. I don't care how much I just won I'd still take the offer. I missed that Russel upped the offer. I thought Jeff was just misquoting him when he cited $100k.

He had already gone up against Brett and beat him in the challenge. Game over. There was no need for the "Lip Service". It makes me wonder if the producers ask the players to answer questions like "Why might you keep Brett around?" to build suspense.

I always wonder about all that. How many times have people just destroyed themselves with pedaintradontal (foot-in-mouth) crap at tribal? I know that if I were there, Jeff would hate me because every answer I'd give would be completely non-committal and boring. A whole lot of, "I'm basing my vote on what I think the correct decision is." It makes me wonder if, A) these people are really that bad at the game, B) the hunger and exhaustion really do make it hard to realize just how damaging their answers are before they spill out of their mouth, C) they're more interested in portraying a certain character for the audience so people will remember them than they are in winning the game, or D) it's in their contract that they will provide more than vagueries for answers at tribal council lest lose claim to any prize winnings. Because holy hell, how hard is it so say, "I'm not stupid Jeff, I'm not answering your question."

I finally clicked the link...

Spoiler:
DAMNIT I thought I'd never have to listen to Coach again. Damnit damnit damnit damnit.

Damnit

Though, bless the producers for rightly putting him on the villains side. Hah!

My early picks (as in who I'll be rooting for, not who I think will win) are Cerie on the heroes side, Tyson on the villains.

Spoiler:
I can't wait to hear Coach swapping stories with Russel. Russel will have to up his game from the silly Katrina/Lost Dog shtick if he wants to keep up with Coach and his captured by Amazonian pygmies routine.

Watching the villians is going to be amazing! They are going to eat each other. I am a bit disappointed in one thing....

Spoiler:
The preivews made it appear as if we'd have Richard Hatch (though I didn't know how that would be possible), Johnny Fairplay, and a few others....it also appeared as if the guys who fell in the fire once was getting a second shot. Would have liked him to have the opportunity.

Sigh.....guess I'll have to wait until Survivor 21 to try out. I seriously would love to do that show, but 6 weeks off the job might not work out really well. Maybe I'll ask my boss to see if there would even be a chance.
