 I'm in the middle on this one. For me (who does not have a notebook), it would definitely fill a void in my life. But I am disappointed with some of the same things (and not on others):

WiFi only unless you pony up the extra $130 plus $15-30/month for AT&T - I agree - if I could tether it to my iPhone (which it appears you can't), then this might be less painful
AT&T? Really? - I agree - but does the fact that the device comes unlocked mean you could chose your own provider (I honestly do not know)?
no built-in camera (not a huge deal but surprised it was left out) - I agreeI also have concerns about the display being usable for extended reading periods (e.g. - using the device as a full blown e-book). Based on what Alex has said multiple times, I have my doubts (but I really should examine my view of Alex as an all knowing arbiter of life).
