				            | I assume that the average Christian isn't going to accept the premise of the question. But, if we're going to accept the accuracy of the New Testament, we should accept the accuracy of the Old Testament, which says, "For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land." Deuteronomy 15:11.
