I discovered that I can actually make someone a better pool player by simply betting against them. I was playing against a good friend of mine a bit ago and I was easily making shots I had no business making. upon the mere utterance of the phrase 'lets bet' they cleared the table before the echo died.

I got up, went to the kitchen, flipped on the light, and at that very moment the power to the whole neigborhood went out, including my house.

In just about 60 seconds it came back on, and there is construction going on outside the housing tract so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. But the timing is very wierd....
