The Sexiness of Steampunk

I just watched David Lynch's Dune again, for the first time in many years (It was actually a decent fan-edit using footage from the "TV version" to bolster the theatrical release, but I digress).

Two things occurred to me:
- The costume and set design are so amazingly steampunk. It was really a pleasure to look at them.
- The movie was much stupider than I remembered.

Lynch's Dune is an aesethically beautiful movie best watched with the sound off.
