I don't normally share here the bits of Victoriana that I come across, but this was a particularly interesting one about "poison green" I thought you guys might enjoy. (Toxic pigments used in green dyes until the early 20th century that poisoned tons of people)

The prospect of winds at my back matching my normal cruising speed for my morning ride = yay! The prospect of winds in my face matching my normal cruising speed for my evening ride home = less than yay! The prospect of gusts strong enough to knock me off = hell no, I'm driving.

I stepped out this morning, to find a patio chair blocking the front door. There were all kinds of wheeled trashcans doing zombie walks around the neighborhood. A lady at the bus stop nearly got blown into the street.
