Nope. Remember, HDMI is digital. It either passes the signal or it does not. If you plug it in and it works (which it should) then you are good to go. A newer/fancier/ more expensive cable won't do squat beyond what you already have.

Okey doke, I defer to those who know more about this than I do. Just swap out TVs and all should be well.
The hard part is trying to decide which CinemaScope or VistaVision to test out the new tv as we calibrate.
