I always think it is amazing that all 4 of my grandparents (not GREAT grandparents) were born in the 1800s. My parents were both born in the 1920's.

Same here. I only knew one of my grand parents. One died before I was born, one when I was too young to remember her, and I never met one of my grandfathers even though he died when I was 7.

I only met one grandparent also - my grandfather who was 98 when he died. My Grandmother, his wife, I "met" her in her coffin. My Dad's parent were both gone before i was born.
