Using new .kml file in Google Earth on Android phone

I can use google maps the whole way. cell phone ends but the gps stays. As long as it has the map in place already, I can watch our progress and figure out what road we're on even when it's not marked. (some are and some aren't.)

The map is great - dont get me wrong. We've got a bunch of maps and off roading books with road descriptions,etc. I'm just a bad navigator and need all the help I can get. (oops - I think we passed it... yeah... a few miles back. turn around...)
