The 10 CD challenge

Ok, here's the deal. Post 10 albums that you really enjoy that are completely different from each other. No crossing of genres. Yes, you must own the full album, regardless of format. And it must be something you really enjoy, not some fluke cd you listened to once and realized was crap.

Yup, this is totally subjective as to what's same and what's different, but it's fun anyway.

Extra points if you can come up with more than 10.

Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? - Trip-out ambient electronica
James Gang - Greatest Hits - 70's guitar rock
Janet Jackson - Rhythm Nation 1814 - 80's super-hit pop with hard beats

Talking Heads - Little Creatures - thought provoking sillyness
Suburban Legends - Suburban Legends - Straight-up ska
Alanis Morisette - Hands Clean - Chick alternative
Libby Kirkpatrick - Winged - Singer/Songwriter folk guitar
Sean Lennon - Into the Sun - Surrealist bossa nova, among other things

I must quibble here though...two Disney related albums? And two orchestral soundtracks, not to mention Sondheim? I know you can do better than that.

Okay, I'll switch out The Mission soundtrack for ELO: Out of the Blue, but the Sondheim (not an orchestral concert) stays.

Scrooge, if you liked Herb Alpert, you'd love that my collection also includes Flatt & Scruggs, The Black Dyke Band, Santana, Mike Oldfield, a huge amount of Big Band, and far too much music performed on the Mighty Wurlitzer.
