Rise of corporate entity to "person" status...legally, economically, and politically sanctioned supremacy of corporate "people" over flesh and blood people...shift to service economy and away from skilled labor...shift away from employer/employee loyalty...perception that employees are interchangeable and disposable...fracture between concepts of "job" and "career"...proliferation of employee conduct codes that go beyond the workplace, plus methods for monitoring that conduct within and outside the workplace...
