Fosse/Verdon

Been enjoying this series and been frustrated that any discussion or comments I see over on Facebook quickly get lost or buried unless I comment on them right away, so recalling how nice threaded discussions were back in the day I thought I'd attempt to start something here.

First off, having recently watched "All That Jazz" it's interesting to see Fosse's fantasy biography contrasted with this one. Separated by 40 years (yes that much time has really passed) to see Fosse acknowledge his womanizing with a wink and a nod, compared to a probably more realistic post "me too" take on what was probably questionable consent-wise was a gut punch. I really have to admire Nicole Fosse for producing this non-apologist version.

The last episode taking place almost entirely within a beach house vacation home was a brilliant setting for such psychological drama that could be its own stand alone stage play.

Anyway, loving this series, loving revisiting Fosse films in our collection, and frustrated that more of his and Verdon's catalogue aren't available right now for streaming.

We watched the first episode. That prompted us to watch All That Jazz and will see Sweet Charity soon (ATJ was available to us at the time, but we just recently got access to SC, which we have yet to watch).

After SC, we will rewatch E1 and then the whole series.
