On the other side of the spectrum, I've had plenty of long standing animosity with my family members, and I still felt no empathy for these characters. But then again, this genre, what I'd call "fvcked-up relationships", just isn't my thing. Be they family or romantic, I just don't enjoy watching people dislike each other, even (especially?) when there's a weepy reunion at the end. I still can't believe they shoehorned that same weepy junk into Charlie.

This is Tim Burton?

Anyway, I hope none of that will apply to Corpse Bride....I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a Nightmare clone.

From what I hear from people I trust who've seen it ... it's nothing but a Nightmare rip-off, splendid-looking (d'uh), but pointless. Songs crammed in for no reason, and a 10-minute story stretched to an hour longer than that.

I'm beginning to believe that Tim Burton films should be seen and not heard.
