I stumbled across another bit-o-brilliance from this game. Anyone who's ever beaten Super Mario Bros. on the original Nintendo (and then continued to play) will appreciate this.

I was poking around the KoL wiki, reading stuff about the 8-bit realm. Obviously all the monsters are Mario and Zelda monsters. But I noticed that it listed Buzzy Beetles as one of the monsters, but I didn't remember seeing any there. So I read the info...they only appear after you ascend and they replace the Goombas.
