In talking with FlippyShark and Mattercorn Fan, it appears that we are going to actually go to breakfast sometime at Boma. I look forward to the food. I only wish that they served breakfast in the afternoon. We have not set a date yet.

Matterhoratio Fan, I have never misspelled your name. I can't believe you would even suggest such a thing.

Hmmmm Boma's Zebra Domes. I swear I probably had 10 of those during the week we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I might have to run by there this weekend just to get some Domes!

My whole family -- parents, siblings and their wives and children, and I-- ate at Boma a year ago to celebrate my father's retirement. (It capped our weeklong trip to WDW.) Stunning how a restaurant with such unique ethnic foods can cater to the tastes of a group of 15 ranging in age from 1 to 58 and in taste from adventurous to chicken-nuggets-only.

I was especially fond of the available soup. What is this about the "soup situation"? Because the ones I tried were genuinely excellent. Hummus! Multiple kinds of hummus. Even a vegan would be happy at Boma. |

Mmmm . . . the hummus is heavenly.

The "soup situation" . . . well, it's been a loooooooong time since I've gotten Carrot Ginger there. I was under the impression that that was one of their specialties, and it was my favorite. It seems that Plantain Chowder was a one-time-dealio. Butternut Squash . . . it's been a while. Smoky Tomato . . . no thanks. ChickPea? Haha, a waiter there told us to stay away from it, and he's right--that's some weird-tasting stuff. I cannot comment on the non-vegetarian soups since I'm a vegetarian. But I haven't had a *really* good bowl of soup there for a while. ![]() |
