My friend's parents in La Habra have 16 cats. They started out with 2 fertile outdoor mama cats that both gave birth to 7 kitties each. My friend's parents are too elderly to catch them all. So they just feed them all. They are all outdoor cats save one who is inside. They don't like their local SPCA so they don't want to call them to get rid of the cats.

Ok, I just have to derail a little bit more. They might want to contact a local vet to see if there is a feral cat society in their area. Most of them will set humane traps, fix the animals, and then put them back where they got them -- or some variation of that with the 'feeders' assistance. Allows the cats to remain feral but stops the cycle of litters.
