Coachella Anyone?

Ooooh Portishead!!!

I've never been to a concert like this. Raves don't count. Even though I went to one at the Polo fields.

How much are those presale tickets? (I'm supposed to be saving for a house)

Oooooh, Air and the Killers? I'd go!

I was recently busted....my husband saw the Killers on SNL with me. Ooops. My sister and I shared a pitcher of beer with the lead singer and the drummer one night after they played with Keane a few months ago. Uh, forgot to mention to my husband they were HOT.

Cool guys and an awesome show! And um, yes, they are pretty hot. I'll be hearing about it for a while.

OMG...you are too funny! If I lived in Portland, I would want to be going to as many shows with you and your sis as possible! Especially if there is a possiblity of a Tanya Harding sighting!

And again, if I lived closer to the action, my husband and I would definitely be game for the Coachella Festival. We love hot, sweaty, crazy madness!

Road trip - make it a Jack Keruacian experience and maybe even throw in a Disneyland visit. Sounds pretty Beatnik to me

Wow, Claire! You have all the luck! How do you get to meet so many of these bands? Whenever bigger bands play down here, there's no going near them!

I'd love to go to Coachella, but those crowds...and if it's in the heat. Yeah, forget it.

We knew the bartender at the Ballroom....he used to date a friend of my sister's fiance and he always says hi and gives a break on beer during shows, and he told us the band planned to come back out to the bar after the show to taste some of the brews (it's a McMenamins and they make tasty stuff), and that we could hang around if we wanted. There were only two performers and several roadies. The roadies were funnier, but the singer and the drummer were cute. Of course, I got on better with the roadies. Keane never showed up.....which was kinda sad....would have liked to say hi to them.

It's all luck.....now if only it would happen at Duran Duran, life would be complete. Full circle.

Presale tickets were $150 for both days plus the customary usurous ticket fees. I think that's the same as they were last year. Allegedly the "presale" period is over, but I haven't tried it myself. I still wanted to hear who was playing before I spend the money - eventhough I'm about 80% sure I'm going anyway.

I think they typically start by selling only 2-day tickets. I understand that beyond the tickets there's usually a rush to secure either camping space or a local hotel room. I think we'll probably be doing the later.

January 31 the lineup is announced, I'm eager to hear who'll be there this year.
