Anyways, I doubt I'd get $.49 (or any amount, for that matter) as a refund. I'm fairly certain this is a spend-it-all-at-once kinda thing. MouseWife: I already have Kite Runner (never finished reading it), I do plan to pick up L&TT at some point, not a big Pearl Jam fan, already have a lot of Louis Armstrong, and haven't seen Jarhead. MickeyLumbo: Should I know what you're talking about? |

Was 'Kite Runner' not your style? I mean, the people who recommended it to me are quite political. I am not really so I hope the book isn't.
I want all of my Disney movies on DVD. I only have a couple. I need to update. What to do with all of the VHS?

The Kite Runner . . .
Well, for starters, it wasn't my idea to read it. It definitely wasn't forced upon me, but it's not something I would have picked up on my own. Since I haven't read the whole thing, I can't really say how political it is. But there's a decent storyline to it--I guess that the political stuff is more a backdrop than anything else, though it figures pretty prominantly (at least at the beginning). Surely someone else on this board has read it and can give you a better idea of whether you might like it, MouseWife. €, those books look interesting. If I were to buy just one of them, which one would you recommend? |

HI!

Well, WInd-up Bird is THE classic Murikami, while Kafka is the newest of the bunch and not had the time to become classic yet. I think that's where the discrepancy comes in on Amazon. I've read them both and love them both, but somehow Kafka nudged Wind-Up just a bit.

Now you're just making the book sound like a bully.
