Based on Internet rumors, if "Cars" is a hit, there will be a better chance that a "Cars"-themed ride will be built at Disney's California Adventure. :fingers crossed:

I try not to judge films in advance by the movie trailers, since they can:
... be worse than the actual film.
... be better than the actual film.
... contain scenes later deleted from the final film.
... contain spoilers.
... contain music not even used in the film.
... contain the "best jokes" of the film--which decreases the effectiveness of the joke in the actual film.

Pixar has a proven track record, so one can optimistically predict "Cars" will be another entertaining film.

I had just assumed that Autopia would be re-themed for this one, is that not the case?

If they do build a "cars" attraction at DCA are we talking a test-track redo or something new?

I've only read/heard about a proposed "Cars" attraction at Disney's California Adventure. As with most Disney rumors/speculation, not much detail is available.

I agree with you there. That film is the best of the bunch by far, IMHO.

Incredibles, Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo I would choose to watch again. A Bug's Life wouldn't make me turn the channel, probably, and I'm kind of sick of the Toy Stories.

Since we're ranking:

1. The Incredibles

6. Toy Story 2
7. Finding Nemo
8. Toy Story
9. Monsters Inc.
10. A Bug's Life

To put Toy Story 2 in the second slot would indicate too much of a proximity to The Incredibles so I padded the list a bit. For me, The Incredibles is second only to Beauty and the Beast on a list of all the animated films ever released in association with Disney. And the amazing thing is that it still isn't as good as The Iron Giant so I have only the highest hopes for future output from Brad Bird.

I love The Iron Giant.

I can't wait for Cars..I am a NASCAR fan anyway. I got the impression of the first trailer it was just something to show what the idea of the movie was. I have not seen a second one. As for Paul Newman as a voice, good choice. Being a race car driver and owner, it fits.

I think the interesting thing about Pixar is that it clearly has a huge variance of appeal to a very wide audience. Even all of us don't clearly share a favorite, for the most part.

1) Finding Nemo
2) Toy Story II
3) The Incredibles
4) Monsters, Inc
5) Toy Story
6) Bug's Life

But I find something enjoyable about every single one on the list.

I didn't care much for the teaser but the trailer is indeed better. And while Paul Newman and Larry the Cable Guy don't exactly float my boat, MY personal glee comes in the form of Click and Clack-- the Car Talk guys-- lending their voices.

By the way, when I listen to the Incredibles soundtrack, I cry for the lack of love for it at the Academy that year. What were they smoking that they would miss out on giving it at least a nod?
