Boston Shootings - 1/2 Block Away

Four police officers were taken to the hospital Tuesday after some of them shot at a suspect, who witnesses say drove his sports utility vehicle over a busy downtown sidewalk and then the wrong way on a one-way street, smashing cars along the way.

Details remained sketchy of the noontime shooting at Boylston and Washington streets, just outside a Registry of Motor Vehicles office and an MBTA subway station.

First the scaffolding incident now this at 12 noon today. This is on the same block I work at.

Chris, Ralphie and I were on this particular intersection waiting for Lisa to buy socks just the other day...

So, I'm thinking, it may be time to find another job?

Here's what I'm trying to figure out...what exactly was that driver doing that's out of the ordinary for a Boston driver?

Not a thing. That's why when I see people pulled over here I think 'how bad were you driving to actually get pulled over?' I'm thinking it must have been really bad to get shot at...

Today, I did go for a burrito but at 12:30pm. It was in the opposite direction. A bulletproof vest is a good idea, I'm not sure it'll help if a scaffolding falls on me.

Perhaps he missed a few parked cars while going the wrong way down that one way street. That would be terrible form.

Looking at the crime scene downstairs, I saw three or four cars all scattered across the street in varying angles. There are also two police cars parked on a curb. There are little plastic markers all over to mark where shells landed. I couldn't see the SUV from my vantage point.

I couldn't get a straight story out of anyone downstairs. It varied from one cop getting shot to four cops, people were saying it was a drive-by shooting, someone even said they were shooting a movie... (Never use a crack dealer as your news source.)
