How's this for potential? Your kids go swimming, don't they? Gads, the entire point of staying on property is so's you can ditch the theme parks during the height/heat of the day and go back to your glitzy hotel for a luxurious dip in the pool.
If we're talking the Grand Cal, the pool is mere footsteps away from the Hearthstone Lounge. Howzabout you duck away from the family for half an hour and meet us for a drink? No need to ask anyone to leave their comfort zone. Nor to remain in an assigned comfort zone. Consider it an invite. And, if, well, you simply can't accept - for reasons of propriety or just plain cowardice .... well, we'll just wave from down below the Fantasmic balcony and that will be the end of it. |

We find it funny when people are talking about how hot it is at DL when it's 90 in the afternoon. That's the temp here in Phoenix at midnight. And also, that makes the assumption that we're staying at the GC. We're not. No cowardice in not accepting that plan. I, sir, am no coward! It just wouldn't work. |

Ovaltine! Certainly your kids must do something besides Disneyland while on vacation. Hey, they'll go into DCA, won't they? You won't wanna do that! If there were a will, there'd be a way. Not only would you be able to sneak away for an hour, but you'd be able to confince your wife and kids that meeting people for the first time whom you've been conversing with on a daily basis for the past three years is not a dangerous, foolish, or odd thing to do. |

(psst....I don't dislike DCA. I actually prefer it sometimes because....well...it's never crowded)
That aside....I'm not sure what to do. Not my desire to offend anyone (not even you ISM, surprisingly). Perhaps I'll speak at further length with the wife. She does owe me. She's going to Hawaii with her dad next week. Hmmm..... |
