So, I scored an A+ in legal writing. I got the A+ on one of the assignments, but I wasn't sure how the overall grade would pan out.

Half my brain is celebrating and the other half is predicting doom and gloom for my copyright grade.

So, my company has been pestering us for our cell phone numbers, so they can reach us after hours. They aren't getting mine unless they are going to start paying the bill and paying me for being on-call.

That sort of thing irks the snot out of me. When I was still doing retail, I was an asst.manager at a plus size women's clothing store. The other asst. would call me almost every time she closed to talk her through one part of closing or the other. I finally told her that I was not the one she needed to be calling, that was why the store manager was on salary. She finally stopped after I reported her.

David's work tried to pull that on him, too. They would call his personal cell (that I pay for) when they needed to reach him out in the field. When he stopped answering it they decided it was time to get him a company cell.

First our receptionist sent out an email to the entire company asking for them by the request of HR. I ignored it. Now the new sub-department head sent one out asking for ours. I know that one is going to be followed up on. I'm trying to think of the most polite way to say "I'm sorry, first, I don't get paid to be on-call and last time I checked, the company does not pay for my cell phone. No, you cannot have it". So far replying with "Sorry, it's for personal use only" has been suggested.

And I don't mind being called if I'm out of the office and they need something. A few of my co-workers have my number for that reason. But I know that they only call me when I'm the only one who can answer the question, it's so rare when they do and I'm usually just out of the office for part of the day. Giving out my cell number like that will result in weekend and horrid hour phone calls.

I just got in from my last cig of the night... I am totally creeped out. First, when I flipped on the lights this huge assed bug flew up at one of the lights. At first I thought it was just a june bug. Nope, bigger than that, with funky wingish things on its anntena. While I was trying to figure out what it was I heard this horrid noise coming from one of David's "junk" piles. At first it sounded like the air compressor had a leak, but wrong part of the patio. So I went in for a closer look. It was the same type of bug...in a widow web. the noise was the bug under attack from a huge assed widow. I had just sprayed that area and already killed one over there, this one was much bigger than the first. Now both bug and widow are d.e.d. For good measure I killed the first bug too. It almost looked like a potato bug. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I am sososoooo sick of finding widows everywhere!! At work I am averaging 3 a day in the warehouse (today was 5, until I stuck my hand in a web and the number went up).

I am suffering sympathy gross-outs for you, MG.

I am also suffering serious owie-ness in my legs from an impromptu game of baseball yesterday. We (a friend and her family) were challenged to a game by another family, and I haven't played in a very long time. We won, but I learned some valuable lessons: Sports bras are a very good thing when running. Birkenstocks are not. And quitting smoking was a good thing, because for the first time I noticed I could actually run and experience muscle fatigue before hyperventilation.
