Hollywood sweethearts Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth have split up after more than two years together, their publicist confirms to PEOPLE.

"They did decide to take some time apart due to their upcoming work schedule, and they remain very close," says their rep, Robin Baum. "It was a mutual decision."

Baum declined to elaborate on when the split occurred, or the reasons, but the two were spotted together as recently as Jan. 21 at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont, where Bloom was staying during the Golden Globes.
