That way she'll eventually stop asking you to go".
"But grandfather, then why are we at the grocery store?" I replied. Upon reflection, I think that was the moment my Grandfather realized I was a lost cause to his way of life.

That was Eric's trick. He worked at a grocery store for nearly twelve years and I did all the shopping because if I asked him to, it was a guarantee that he'd bring home all the wrong stuff. He's better about it now, but I seldom ask him to stop at the store anymore.

So.

I'm annoyed I'm not getting my own special farewell party from the teachers. They made today a "special treat day" for everyone that's leaving (a few teachers are getting transferred). We do damn treat days all the time...I'm not here early enough for the social aspect...the others that are leaving have been here only a year and I've been here 5.5 ...the treats weren't even that good!....wah wah whine I want my own party or something. It's especially annoying because it's tearing me apart to think I won't be back here in the fall.

I am going to the year-end party so maybe I'll eat my words when they present me with some huge going-away gift. That's why I'm posting - I really hope I have to eat these words.

All that fuss and worry - copyright was an A-. It wasn't the A I wanted, but it's way better than the last time I was waiting on one last grade and it turned out to be a C. And this spring was by far my best semester grade-wise. So that's something.

I'm so excited and proud of you!! I know how worried you were- but there was noway you were gettin' a bad grade! You're too smart, my friend. Look at the very brilliant advice you gave me (and you know what I mean, jellybean.. )
