Really REALLY Long Trip Report

Here's where it gets interesting.......

We weren't in a huge hurry to get on the road, so we ate breakfast in our room, and watched the Rose Parade on TV.

We checked out and hit the road, stopping at Starbucks on the way out of town. We planned to eat at the In-n-Out in Lyons/Valencia before hitting the grapevine. The girls watched a movie and just as we hit the Lyons exit, Cassidy started barfing! Ack! Poor kid hadn't wanted to eat her breakfast and I pretty much made her sit and try to eat before we left. Poor thing!!!

Two families in the In-n-Out parking lot supplied us with garbage bags for her car seat and clothing. I changed her into some jammies and cleaned her up with a soapy towel we got from the restaurant. Not the lunch we'd envisioned.....but we don't have an In-n-Out up here, so we still got take out and ate in the car, while poor Cassidy got sick off and on until she fell asleep.

She was still sick when we stopped for dinner (can't even remember where we stopped....but it must have been a drive-through) and when we got to Redding that night. We stayed in a crappy Best Western that we had made reservations at.....it was......icky.
