One year, long ago, we were in San Diego at the Con. Chris and I had just started dating and we were exploring the shipping docks that are near the convention center. We had climbed up on a big crane and the wind picked up. It was hot hot hot, humid and incredibly windy. Then the lightening started. It was spectacular, but I don't think we were in the safest environment for a lightening storm.

There was a hurricane (or Typhoon in the Pacific - right?) brewing off of Mexico that was causing it. This weather is very similar to that experience. Stay off of tall, exposed structures.

I have an interview with a temp agency tomorrow morning. I did call SY and spoke to the girl who trained me and asked if I could use her as a reference. I don't know if she has the spine to tell the owner that I have an interview or not... I just can't believe that the owner truly expected me to stick around and wait for 2 weeks for the phone to ring to tell me I can go back to work.
