Turns out we have the world's second ugliest vinyl flooring in the powder room. The ugliest is in the kitchen, which BT just uncovered because I was sick of the stupid nasty carpet and the bathroom carpet removal was fairly painless.

The kitchen vinyl is possibly the ugliest vinyl I have ever seen in my life. I should take commemorative photos before we make improvements.

Must have been laid in the 70s (no pun intended). The 70s saw some of the ugliest home textiels ever. Avocado green kitchen appliances, shag carpets (mostly green), and the stick on mirror tiles with the gold viens. And vinyl flooring. It's like they made it 'cause they could without considering if they should.

Considering this was built in the 90s, I'm thinking probably not. It's just a cheap-ass vaguely beigeish but with a hideous pattern.

And the mystery stains.
