I am usually just such the voice of reason. I make the right choices, act the right way. This is good for my life for the most part. But, something, I just want to do something contrary just because I can.

I figure, there are a bunch of idiots running amonk doing stuff like that all of the time. Somehow, they are forgiven, liked even, and they're having all of the fun, damn them. So, I may cuase some trouble once in a while........just because I can. I won't cross many boundries. I may just tap them once in a while. But, damnit, my punk rock roots are showing.

Do you ever get the urge to just be contrary?

You see, by saying, "no," I was in fact being contrary, instantly nullifying my "no" as a valid answer. It was an ironic statement, a logical impossibility, and thus.....aw forget it.

Yes. I believe it kicked in the other night, and it still hasn't gone away. Maybe it's a weird form of spring fever, or early menopause.

I'm still learning to be contrary and selfish - I question myself a lot and talk myself out of a lot of things, but so far I can't say I have any regrets for any of my contrary acts.
