Just read through the first few pages of this thread. It reminded me of just how bad the Dodgers were at the beginning of this season. Horrifically bad.

Now, that magic number just keeps dwindling. What a crazy year.

This rain delay in Denver reminds me of a funny baseball story.

Remember way back when the Orioles weren't willing to reschedule their game tonight so that the Ravens could open the season at home? And that was because they were concerned about being in a pennant race?

Though Petit fell a debatable 2-2 call short, his effort tonight was arguably better than Cain's perfecto and Lincecum's no-hitter. He threw far fewer pitches, and he pitched against a better team than they did. Indeed, if the Diamondbacks were not still vocally on the cusp of contention, I bet da ump punches Chavez out.
