				            | Nicole Kidman is an odd one to me. She still always looks beautiful in films, but looks plasticky and overdone in these appearances. Her forehead and cheeks have an odd prominence and polish to them.

				            | This was the first year we watched the show in larger-than-life HD, and I was shocked at how bad Cameron Diaz's skin looked. Too much sun!

and the purple drape? I'm was of the opinion that the Muppet scalp was there to hide her VERY ample bosom which I can no longer find a picture of.

| Kink of Swank | In light of all this talk about fashion, with narry a comment about film ... I think Stewart's remark about the celebs making catty comments about what WE wore to be perhaps his best line of the night. Of many. And yes, dear G.C., that would make YOU the star of What-in-Heck-Were-You-Wearing? at last night's Gay Super Bowl Soiree. (At least I had the Tilda Swinton fashion daring to wear The Tonto Tattoo!) |

				            | Okay, I had to go back and look at Helen Mirren's dress. At first, the sleeves threw me off as well, but the more I looked (I loved the rest of the dress - especially the sweeping pleats), the more I grew to love the sleeves as well. Here is a combined photo of Helen Mirren and Kathrine Heigl. Quote:

				            | I wore a dashing 100% cotton baseball shirt with athletic grey down the center and dark blue sleeves. Designer: J. Crew of Bakersfield Outlet Mall. Atop this smashing number, I wore a red Dave of Matthews Band shirt. Made of 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton, it gives the man-blouse a sheen of silk. My hindquarters were adorned with denim jeans from Levi's of Strauss from their Costco collection, third table from the aisle near the sample table for bite-sized quiche hors d'ourves from (most likely) Kirkland of Signature. Shoes by Manolo Reeblonkic, size: 10 1/2 4E. Hair by Sam Fantastic of Studio City. I think I was quite smashing. |
