"Pirates" Scene Irks Natives - Page 2

I would've posted this in the lame joke thread... but it just seemed too tasty not to post here:

These two cannibals kill a missionary. They argue for a while about how to divide him up, when finally, one of them says, "Okay. You start at the head and I'll start at the feet."
So they begin their tasty feast. After a while one of them says, "Hey, this is really great. I'm having a ball."
"Slow down!" cries the other cannibal "You're eating too fast!"

This story reminds of that GEICO commercial where the guy says that their website is so easy to use that even a caveman could do it. Then a caveman on the crew throws down his microphone and angrily stomps off. Then in the next commercial it shows a TV in someone's living room and it's playing the GEICO commercial, and a caveman who's watching it gets offended as his caveman roommate remarks how condescending it is.

They hit the nail on the head with that one. It's so stupid how overly-sensitive people are. Why pick "cry" over "laugh?" I don't get it.

Like most anti-corporate boycotts, this one is only giving more free publicity for the movie. Studio heads at Disney are probably thanking the Indian tribe for the advance hype.

I really don't think this is going to affect the movie at all, regardless of how they handle it.

I am offended by Chief Williams comments. Speaking as the head of a cannibal tribe, I find his remarks insulting and insensitive. Just because we feast on humanity doesn't mean we don't have feelings. My people and I are big enough to realize that we need to resolve this problem. In the interest of peace I am having Chief Williams and the Carib tribe for dinner.
