I liked his movie. I thought it was funny. But I haven't listened to him on the radio at all really. I don't listen to any radio outside of Terry Gross and friends.

I'm not a regular listener of Stern's, but by reading the interview excerpt GD posted I immediately 'got' what he was saying: he's at his shrink's office talking about the four million listeners and he addresses his own 'sickness' of competitiveness that won't let him enjoy the moment but instead obsess over the fans that haven't followed. I don't get that he's whining about them not actually following him- he's mocking himself.

(Of course, I haven't had any coffee yet- I'll revisit this thread after a few cups).

The way wendybeth is reading it is how HS described it on today's show.

I think if I were doing an interview with a newspaper or magazine, I'd have to talk like Victor Borge. (And if you get that reference - you are either very old or very geeky. Or both.)
